Main Work
Acrylic on Wood Panel

I mainly work with acrylic and prefer to paint on wood panels. My inspiration is the wildlife, wilderness and colours of northern Canada.

Excess Paint Abstracts

As I work on my larger paintings I keep paper alongside for wiping off excess paint. There is a point when these become a work of their own; with forms sometimes showing themselves through the abstract brushwork. I will work up these forms until I am happy with them, usually accentuating the main figure(s) with iridescence.

 Watercolour / Pen & Ink

I use a smaller format with these works, making it easier to re-locate when creating these pieces. I work with pen and ink and water colours when I am unable to work in the studio or when I feel that an idea I have in my mind will speak itself better in this medium.
